Andreas Schobert (Guest member of the RETAIL NXT Advisory Council) is a member of the board and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of HORNBACH Baumarkt AGIn this role, he is responsible for the technology and digital strategy of the international DIY retailer and consistently drives the digital transformation of business models, processes and customer experiences.

His focus is on the strategic use of technology in retail – from platform and system modernization to data-driven innovations and the application of AI in retail. He combines operational technology responsibility with a clear perspective on customer relevance and the future viability of both brick-and-mortar and digital retail formats.
