Patricia Lichteneber is an experienced manager in the areas of retail and IT. She is currently Head of IT at MediamarktSaturn Germany, where she took over responsibility for IT in April 2021. In this role, she works closely with the regional managers, stores, logistics locations and other administrative units. After successfully building up the IT Germany team, from defining roles and sizes to recruiting and training new team members, the focus is now on innovative topics. She is driving the mobile first strategy in the digitalisation of retail, which means shifting sales and customer processes to the app in order to be able to advise customers on the product. Creating direct customer benefit and customer value are her driving motivators. She and her team are currently working on replacing the in-house online ERP solution with SAP S4 Retail. At the same time, a new analytics business layer is being developed to meet the increased reporting and analytics requirements.
Prior to her current position at MediamarktSaturn, Patricia Lichteneber worked at Grandvision B.V. as Lead of Group Software Development & Rollout. There she managed distributed teams in Germany, England and the Netherlands and played a key role in the development of group-internal applications for optical retail.
IT in retail is her great passion, which has accompanied her throughout her career. From DWH developer to her current position. International expertise, successful delivery of large-scale projects and the promotion of diversity – especially of women in IT & leadership – round off her profile.
