Ben Brake is a senior digital policy expert who currently serves as Director General of DOT Europe, representing leading technology companies on EU digital regulation and internet governance. Previously, he was Director General for Digital and Data Policy at the German Federal Ministry for Digital Affairs and Transport, shaping Germany’s digital and EU policy agenda.
Earlier in his career, Brake spent nearly a decade at IBM in Berlin, leading public policy engagement, after starting out in parliamentary and ministerial roles in the German federal government.
